PETER COOK
President and Chief Executive Officer
Peter Cook serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of EDW. Peter was co-founder of Womens Choice Pharmaceuticals, and he played an integral role in the acquisition of Edwards Pharmaceuticals. Prior to becoming President and Chief Executive Officer, Peter served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer.
With 20 plus years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Peter has an extensive background in specialty pharmaceuticals. He has successfully built and led sales, marketing, operations, business development, and managed markets teams.
Prior to joining EDW, Peter was a strategic consultant with InVentiv Health responsible for conducting market research, developing sales strategies, optimizing salesforce structures and alignments, as well as executing launch strategies for new products. Prior to InVentiv Health, he served as Senior Director, National Sales and Managed Markets, for Columbia Laboratories, Inc. At Columbia, Peter was responsible for strategic planning and commercial operations.
Peter started his career with Stiefel Laboratories where he held positions of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing, and managed markets.
MICHAEL SMITH
Chief Financial Officer
Michael Smith serves as the Chief Financial Officer of EDW. He joined the company in April 2017 as the Vice President, Finance. Michael has more than 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Michael began his career in the pharmaceutical industry with Cytokine PharmaSciences (“CPSI”) focusing on corporate finance. After leaving CPSI, he moved to CSL Behring (“CSL”) where he held several positions of growing responsibility within the global commercial and corporate finance functions. Just prior to joining EDW, Michael served as the Director of Analytics and Business Evaluations at CSL. He has substantial experience in financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, valuation modeling, and strategic planning.
Michael earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Villanova University and a master’s degree in business administration from Lehigh University.
