How Does Urogesic Blue Work?

There are several main ingredients in Urogesic Blue that work together to relieve bladder irritation caused by urinary tract infection or bladder discomfort during a medical procedure:

Antispasmodic that prevents or relieves muscle spasms

Antiseptic (different from an antibiotic), which inhibits the growth and development of microorganisms in the urine and bladder

Bacteriostatic, which inhibits the growth of bacteria that cause urinary tract infections

Monobasic sodium phosphate helps maintain an acid pH in the urine and is necessary to help methenamine work effectively
